Sustainability is about thinking differently—and better!

We all know we should consume less and choose products that last longer and are made with care for the environment. While a world without new production would be ideal, the most important thing is that we invest in quality and use products for many years. It’s not just about something being "sustainable"—it also needs to be durable, functional, and worth keeping.

Unfortunately, many products today are designed to be thrown away—either because of poor quality or because they don’t meet the user’s needs. Let’s change that! When choosing products, ask yourself: Will it last for years? Will it actually be used? Was it produced ethically and sustainably?

Fewer, but better products are the way forward—for yourself and for those you give to. When you choose thoughtfully, you ensure that your investment is remembered positively and remains meaningful throughout its lifetime.

What do all these sustainability terms really mean?

It can be difficult to navigate the many abbreviations and terms used for sustainable materials. Here are some of the most important ones we work with:

PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic) is recycled plastic from consumers that would otherwise end up as waste. By using PCR, we reduce the need for new raw materials and support a circular economy.

Social Plastic is recycled plastic collected by local communities, creating economic and social value. It helps combat poverty and reduce plastic pollution.

GRS (Global Recycled Standard) is a certification that ensures recycled materials are tracked throughout production—and that production takes place under responsible conditions.

rPET (Post-Consumer Recycled PET) is recycled plastic from PET bottles that is transformed into new products, such as ballpoint pens. A single 0.5-liter bottle can become a new pen!

rAL (Post-Consumer Recycled Aluminum) is 100% recycled aluminum from cans, reprocessed in Europe. Aluminum can be recycled again and again, making it one of the most sustainable materials.

We’re here to help you make the best and most sustainable choices. Feel free to ask us if you’d like to know more about our materials or documentation for our claims.

Together, we can make a difference!
